Hi, I'm Aimee!
For information about my research, please naviate back to the homepage.
I grew up in Massachusetts and attended the University of Texas for undergrad. While there, I worked with Prof. Caitlin Casey (now at UCSB) on outflows from a dusty, star-forming galaxy. I was also an active member, then Outreach Coordinator, then President of the Undergraduate Women in Physics. I started as a grad student with Prof. Juile Comerford at CU Boulder in 2019. Since being in Boulder, I have helped coordinate seminars, facilitate shows at the Fiske Planetarium, and gained teaching experience.
In addition to astronomy, I also love reading, baseball, and hanging out with my pony, Puck.
I am a die hard Red Sox fan. I even work as a tour guide at Fenway Park. Though I don't currently live in New England, I still run the virtual tours. If you'd like to book a virtual tour with me, please email tours@redsox.com. I credit my public speaking skills to this job!
I have always loved horses, but in 2021 I took this passion to the next level. I started volunteering at Nature Heals, a non-profit providing nature based therapies in Boulder County. I bought my pony, Puck, in 2022. He is a 2019 Connemara gelding with the classic combo of pony smarts and goofiness We ride eventing, and Puck thinks cross country is the best thing ever and dressage is silly.
